Make it right, practice till it’s late at night /
Take a gamble, shake the dice /
Find a way to break the ice /
Do the leg work, network, write until your /
Head hurts like it’s gonna save your life /
Then do it some more /
Cos nothing comes easy of course.
All work, no play /
Non-stop, no breaks /
Late nights, no life /
Just write, all day. x2
The jack of all trades, the lone ranger /
The one man army, the sole trader /
Cos I think it, write it and practice it /
Record it and mix it and master it /
Always stay passionate, there’s no room for passiveness /
No second best, won’t settle if it's adequate /
The caffeine kick advocate, with a buzzing in his ear drums /
Popping pro-plus from the cabinet /
The all rounder, the handyman /
The director shooting films on a handy-cam /
The artist, the writer, the thinker, the dreamer /
Who drew his own blueprint, the guy who had a plan /
And there’s the start /
The actor who played every part /
Who sacrificed time, and who gave to the art /
The music that came from the heart.
